Barcelona manager Xavi has expressed his desire to see PSG forward Kylian Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland play in La Liga.
Both Mbappe and Haaland's futures are currently the subject of heated speculation, with both players being linked with moves to La Liga. Barcelona is keeping an eye on the latter.
The hunt for the duo is intensifying, with tales of meetings, talks between players and teams, and media mind games. Barcelona manager Xavi recently spoke on the two strikers, which is the latest chapter in the drama of their futures.
Xavi praised the couple, telling reporters (via Sports Mole):
‘’Mbappe and Haaland are two of the best footballers in the world. It would be fantastic to have them in La Liga; the league and the teams to which they travel will improve. They will attract additional fans to the stadium, which will undoubtedly be beneficial."
Mbappe might join Barcelona's arch-rivals Real Madrid, while Haaland moves to the Nou Camp.
According to recent reports, Xavi and technical director Jordi Cruyff spoke with the Norwegian in Germany to negotiate a transfer.
Joan Laporta, the president of Barca, then came out and said that his connection with Haaland's agent, Mino Raiola, was "excellent."
Barcelona and Real Madrid will be embroiled in yet another El Classico battle.
El Classico has lost its allure as a result of Barcelona's collapse following the departure of the famous Lionel Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018, and the Spanish giants have never been the same since losing the Portuguese superstar.
Mbappe and Haaland's possible additions might add another element to the competition between the two clubs. The two bear striking resemblances to the club's legends and have been tipped as the club's heirs to the kingdom of football. Haaland has 79 goals in 80 matches since joining Borussia Dortmund at the age of 21. Messi possessed this type of goal-scoring ability, which he only enhanced with time. Imagine Haaland playing for a team like Barcelona, where there is a wealth of quality to assist him. Alongside Pedri, Gavi, and Frenkie de Jong, he has the potential to shine.
Mbappe is being enticed by a move to the Bernabau Stadium, and for good reason. Despite playing alongside Barcelona great Lionel Messi, the striker idiomizes Ronaldo and appears to desire to follow in the footsteps of the current Manchester United striker. Mbappe, 23, has been in excellent form for PSG this season, scoring 24 goals and providing 17 assists in 34 matches.
It exhibits similarities to Ronaldo's development at Manchester United prior to his world-record-breaking £80 million move to Real Madrid.
